IMF – Good or Bad
Recently, it had become quite an issue that we should go back to IMF or not, well, going back to IMF has both positive and negative points. First we should see how did it suddenly became an issue? Where did all “friends of Pakistan” go? The question is, have they really left us or does our imported sectary Treasury wears special kind of glasses that which only shows IMF or showing his loyalties to “original employer”, he just say that if we didn’t get any money in 15 days than we won’t have any choice but to go to IMF. One thing that I want to mention is that I can’t understand why all our Treasury ministers and sectary appear to be World Bank or IMF’s employee? Now that we got one Made in Pakistan minister, than they brought a Wold Bank made sectary with him, who can’t see China’s commitment. By the way, Zardari made FOF’s ‘urgent’ meeting would be held on 17th November, but unfortunately, 15 days deadline would have been over before then, and this isn’t President’s deadline which can be ignored.
I have already stated above that IMF is both good and bad, now if you are wondering how it is good then obviously it is better for some imported Pakistanis and of course for IMF itself, as it can be in no way good for Pakistan or Pakistanis, when even it’s first term is that all subsidies should be ended and budget will be imported, that is we will be able to see something similar to “Budget of Pakistan, Made In IMF 2009-10″ on top of our next year’s budget.
If only our “leaders” bring their money back to “our Pakistan”, it will finish all shortage of capital, this is another issue that how can this happen, but it can happen! My advice is that if the “hen that lays golden eggs” get sick, then it’s better to sell one of it’s egg and get it cured, if we want to get more eggs.
